wow.... im going to be super nice to you even though reading your post gave me a migraine, maybe an anyeurism. im even editing to make this one nicer!

first, welcome to NICO! you found the right place if you are looking for information about your car and how to improve on what you have! since you are new, its fair to warn you that a lot of members get upset and even angry because new members refuse to take the time to familiarize themselves with the forums and the SEARCH BUTTON before posting a thread that has already been covered several times in the past.

all of the information you are looking for is easily found by searching! please take the time to educate yourself before asking a common question.

and consider the title of your posts for future reference, make them relevent to the information in your post instead of just a lame grab for attention.

thanks!

ha, agreed

but not too many people ha KA24E's in the 400+ range... and not too many folks have KA24DE in that range either.

figure close to 8000-10000 to do it right

ive had an offer for a five speed swap for 250, 500 should be the tops for that

if you want 400+ ponies, get and RB25, its gonna save you a lotta dough in the power run.

also, this particular section is mainly for all-motor KA setups. some sluts like that guy right there will get heated if you dont post a turbo question in the KA-T forum. its all good, people are always toasting people who dont search, which im certainly guilty of doing

also, if youre trying to build this set-up youre best to talk to a motorsports or speedshop, they can piece together everything you need to actually accomplish what you are trying to do. an off the shelf kit is only gonna get you half way to your goal and set you back about 3000+

for 400+ youre gonna need an engine rebuild, pistons, rods, fasteners, etc naturally asperated motors dont make that kinda power without being severely modified

oh my god guy are you serious with this... the more trash talking i hear the more pissed i am getting

you even say in your post "i dunno about 400+ as a dd"

i said "not too many" not "no one ever of all time ever even once has 400 hp" but way to be a d!ck anyways

if you did a pole of KA-T owners and asked how many have 400+ hp, maybe 5% would fit into that category, would you deny this?

how are you gonna flat out call me retarded, you're obviously the **** off here

haha * watches how one noob sparks a fight * Djs just a little upset that someone new that just bought a 1337 240sx wants to be 2 fast 2 furious without knowing anything about the damn car. Go Rb if you want 400+, to much money into Ka-t for that power imo.

you dont want 400+ hp in your 240sx!! you will get killed! I had a 92 s13 with a modded rb25det motor putting out 327hp and 385ft/lb and it was very fast! almost to the point of being uncontrolable, I had constant trackin problems even with wide 255 tires and an lsd I dont know why every body want HUGE power from there 240sxs! its stupid, these cars are to light and nimble to dump a lot of power into. if you want lots of usable power without getting stuck around a telephone pole go with a heavy car like a skyline or a supra the 240 I have right now I am making into a track car just like it is designed to be I am looking to make a good 250hp and have it corner like it is on rails!! I do miss my RB motor sometime just because of the awsome power! but I would miss being able to be alive or walking even more!!

seriously though u dont need or want that much power in a daily driver remember the more power the more gas and $ it costs for basic maintenence like it was said a 240 so far too small and light for 400+ 250 is beyond plenty for a street car all i plan to do is swap for a sr20det and a front mount intercooler with the basic 3"exhaust and leave it at that u can take out any ricer with the basic sr20det and if u invest into a suspension and wider tires u can maintain amazing control and still have a killer car

my point on your post stands. why should you get special treatment when nobody else does?

youre going to need a lot of money and time to make 400hp, since you dont have the knowledge you will definitely be paying someone to do the work for you. theres a thread that gives you several estimates for your transmission swap, theres several others threads you can use to get information and opinions about the motors you will want to swap. it has been said several times before that you will spend as much if not more getting an sr20 to 400 hp as you will the ka motor that comes in your car.

i really hope you have been doing your research. you do NEED SERIOUS HELP!!!!!!!!1!!!
