Ok I looked at the classified section and searched craigslist for a torque converter. I have a 91 240, ka24de with an auto transmission. My transmission went out and it is the torque converter that is at fault. Everyone keeps telling me that I need to do a 5 sp swap. As much as I would love to, I cannot. Its a DD and my wife needs to drive it....plus its not in the budget. So fellow NICO members, I ask you, would you happen to have a known good working torque converter for a S13? Im in eastern NC, if you are close I will drive to meet. If it can fit in a box, and be shipped for a reasonable price, by all means let me know. Your help is truly and greatly appreciated. Thank you all!!

I check car-part.com, and there's a couple yards with torque converters listed. The closest one is Triple Decker Auto in Chesapeake, VA. I've been to that yard, and it's decent. You can give them a call and see if they have the converter still. I was there back in the late spring, and they still had a 240 sitting in the yard.

car-part.com technically lists it as a pathfinder TC, but it should still fit IIRC.
