do u have to take the oil pan off to take the timing cover off

im a go with yes, there a re 2 bolts that hold the bottom of the timing chain tight to the seal and the only way to get to them is to take off the oil pan

ya man you do..if i remeber corectly..there is a bolt holding the poil sump in place under the pan..like a bracket..so ya have to take it off anyways.
