I finally got the correct OEM Stereo Double-Din Center Trim panel and wanted to know if the pocket that came with my Alpine H/U in the Crutchfield Package is universal or if I will have to buy a new one? I wanted to know before I start ripping out the old one. Let me know ASAP.

no, I'm pretty sure the pocket that comes with the Metra kit you got from curtchfield fits only into the Metra dash piece, I doubt it will fit into the OEM one

So I need a universal one in order to attach my Alpine Single Din H/U to the OEM trim using the OEM metal brackets?

wait, scratch that, it just may work... but you may have to use the metra kit's pieces for it... look here

I think this is what you got from crutchfield... you see how the pocket snaps in place on the metra kit's side holders.. it won't be able to snap in place on your OEm braket, but you may be able to use the metra pocket plus metra side holders and make it work... if not, try something like this, which is a universal one

hope this helps

Question: I have a single din radio and I been thru 3 dash kits and I want to try this nissan oem dash so does anyone know the part numbers for the OEM metal brackets because I know for a fact I no longer have them. Btw I seen another person on a another forum who used the oem dash (68260-JA00A) with the pocket I linked to. Also mpbclutch33 let us know what the part number is for the dash and where you ordered it from.
