Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi all,

I recently got into an accident in my 2008 EX35 (got hit from behind and rammed into the car in front). Massive damage on the front and end of course.

When I got the car back after repairs, my front windows wouldn't roll up automatically with one flick of the switch, which I quickly solved by following the reprogramming directions from the manual.

However, the rear passenger windows only roll down 2/3 of the way. Is this the way the car was originally? I can't remember and I tried calling 2 dealerships already and they won't even pick up the phone! Sure appreciate it if you could kindly try rolling down your back passenger windows and check for me. Thanks lots!

Are you happy with the repairs overall ? Do you have any "before", "during" and "after" Pictures?

Thanks everybody for answering. I actually spoke with a service rep at another dealership and he told me they do roll down all the way, that's why I got all confused.

Actually, I found the repair company on Yelp. They had all 5-star ratings so I took my car there. I am happy with the repairs, it looks brand new. They detailed the whole car, including the engine. They even buffed out a scratch I had on the passenger side mirror for me that wasn't caused by the accident. They had this compound that just made it disappear in a few seconds, I wish I could get a bottle of that. Anyway, repairs cost $10K, all out of pocket for the guy that hit me (he didn't want to go through insurance). I never posted any pictures before, but I'll give it a try. Thanks again!

It sounds like in your original post that your automatic window time was lost its position. You should be able to reset this by manually (first of two actual "steps" of the drivers window switch) open the effected window and fully close them. Once they are at the top hold the button in the up position for 5 seconds. Now try them in the auto made.

Given the severity of the collision I would not rule out an electrical issue but it would be nice if a simple reset would fix this.

Good Luck.
