Okay, I've owned 2 Infiniti sedans, and my friend owns one too.
Ive always used the Valvoline Dura-Blend, and later switched to MAX Life.
Now i have a friend with the G35 sedan. And i suggested Valvoline, but i came to look to see if the forums could back me up on this, but it seems, i have not seen the word Valvoline in the G35 forums. So with that in mind, what is the OEM oil for the G35? Ive seen the cheap Fram-like filter, but oil, im up in the air with. So i wanted to know, Valvoline Max life, yes or no? And if no, why not?

no "best oil" for any car... just comes down to what you do with the car. most people here use some synthetic oil in their G. But it comes down to how you use the car, what interval you want to change your oil, and frankly what you can afford.

if you change your oil very often then it really wont matter what you use, cause you will never hit the max life of the oil.

But if you want to extend your oil change intervals then you use a synthetic. Or you track your car or have it at high RPMs often you might want to use a high grade synthetic. Or you are after better gas milage so you use a 0w synthetic oil.

most people can use a regulur dino oil and will be fine if they are not harsh on their engine. As far as brands, for me i like Pennzoil, Mobile One, and Royal Purple, but to me its all debatable when it comes to brands.

pick the oil that suits your use of your car and your wallett.

Thank you for your prompt answer kmckis1029. Well, i guess she is on the right thing then. She drives to and from school. 13 miles there. 13 miles back. Take family memeber to work and back. Thatsn additional 25 miles a day. So approx. 51 miles a day. 4 days a week. Drives like a bat outta hell. Does 80mph on the highway and 55mph on the feeder. Change oil every ~4000 miles. SO with that said. Valvoline High Mileage aint that bad
