I have a 1990 Q45 that I have installed a factory cd changer and what I need is a photo of the mounting holes on the passenger side of the trunk under the floormat. It doesn't matter if your car came with it or not just as long as it is a 94-96 Q45 because the factory predrilled the holes for the changer to mount. Please help and post a photo. Thanks

Well I was hoping that somebody had a digital camera and could take a picture of the right rear trunk floor under the floormat of their 93-96 Q45 so that I could mount my cd changer tonight but I guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow or when ever somebody post a pic.

Well, I have The CD changer in mine. There are three bolt holes, and they should have bolts in them because they go straight through.

On my 1991 Q, the CD changer was not under the floormat. It was mounted up under the rear deck on the passenger side - factory cables were located there. On my 1995 Q, it was down on the floor on the pasenger side.

I doubt if the factory drilled the holes in the 1990 Q at that lower location (although maxnix's picture shows exactly what it looked like in my 1995 Q.)

Perchance ... did you mean 1994 Q in your post rather than 1990?

I have a 1990 Q 45 but I want to mount the cd changer in the same location as the 1994-95 Q 45. I bought the kit that that includes the bracket and mounting hardware which are2 small bolts and 2 special nuts that when you run the screw into it , it will draw up inside the hole so that it won't pull out. Just like a moly bolt that is used in drywall. Since my car is earlier then a 94, I have to drill the holes before I can mount the bracket. I wanted to see where the holes were located on a 94 so that I could drill the holes in the correct location.

Well, on the later G50, the bolts and nut holders are integral. I would be quite careful about drilling in the earlier cars.

And don't lose the nuts!

Alright, I went ahead and used your picture as a guide to locate the spot for the 2 main screws and went about drilling them and inserting the moly bolt nuts. After that I fastened the cd changer in place and trimmed the carpet accordingly and now it looks like a clean factory install. Thanks for the pic, it really helped me out alot. I will get pics of the install and the final assembly after I get the factory carpeted cover for the cd-changer to round out the installation. Thanks again,

Great! Looking forward to the pictures. Hope the side quarter panel liner retainers are in the same place.

Alright just updating. I have the cd changer installed now after using the pics from maxnix. I recently recieved the carpeted panel that goes around the cd changer and the clips that hold the cover are in the correct locations. Now all I need is the replacement trunk mat that goes around the cd changer cover. If anybody has one that they are willing to sell then please let me know. Thanks

P.S. I figured that I would wait until all is done before pics are taken.

Just trim yours, make a new one from a carpet scrap (have them whip the edge), or buy from Joe.
