need picture of ecu...

i need a picture of the back of the ecu from some one for an rb20detso that i can see what color wire goes where in the ecudetails would be greatly appreciated 8)

a picture is not going to help you.You don't have the complete harness with the big blue plastic connector???

There's like 200 wires and there only so many colors. There stripes and dotted ones and stuff like that. Plus they change color I believe further down the harness.

i have the whole harness and the master plugproblem is that when i had a wire short on me i freaked out and pulled all the wires out of the back of the ecu,stupid::whle smacking head::so now i have to plug them all back in but i dont know what wire goes where

If my RB20 wasn't about 3k miles away, I'd snap a pic for you. (you'll likely need quite a few, very detailed shots)I can't find the wiring diagrams in my R32 FSM but that's really what you need, combined with an easier-to-read pinnout diagram...atleast that's how I'd go about fixing that genius move.

if your car started smoking perfusivly from the kick panel,and you pull it off to find your wiring harness is ablaze what would you do?i panecked so please guys,lower the scolding rate... plus i was driving on the highway when it happend

i too have had a car's harness catch on fire but it was caused by a chaffed wire...i was driving at the time but i had sense to pull over turn the car off and pull the battery cable.you panicked and did what you thought was right...altho at this point sounds more like you need a new harness.

Your gonna need the wiring schematics that references all the plugs and each wire with it's proper color code to pin these all back in together. Honestly i'd pull the harness and ring out each from each plug and pin them accordingly to the pin number on the harness plug. Best idea. Need more help i can't really help. I don't have anything for rb20's but if you hit up megallas website i'm sure he has something.

Patience is a virtue my friend. Maybe not everyone has a harness and ECU just sitting unused or in an easy to take position. Trust me, these people here will take care of you when they can get to it. It sometimes takes a few hours, days weeks.

As a last resort, you may end up having to trace each wire with a multi-meter. On this link, Right click and save ashttp://www.fairladyzg.com/PDF/...l.pdfIt is the 22MB PDF file for the R33 engine manual. There are drawings of the pinouts from the ECU. Start by unplugging one thing at a time and use the continuity function on the meter. touch one end on the unplugged connector and start probing the wires pulled out of the ECU harness.

It is time consuming and tedious.

Man, that pic is awesome! Where did you find it? I'm thinking of creating one for the R33 RB25 S1 (unless there is already one available. I know there is one in the FSM similar to that, but just has numbers, I dig it because it has a pic and is color coded.

I had an A31 RB20 in my old ride and the colors all matched up with the regular R32 RB20's from what I remember. That diagram should be good to go.

I just made it... I was working on my harness a few weeks ago and wrote down the wiring colors. Saw this guy needed the same kind of info so I just took a picture and copied my notes into it.

L0nestar, if you want to make one for the r33/rb25, I'll send you my fireworks PNG file to use as a template. Try to take your harness pic with pin 101 in the top left, it'll make it easier (check against the fsm diagram).
