I Just bought a cd changer for my 1990 Q 45 and want to install it like the factory did on the 90 Q45. What I need are pics of the routing of the wiring harness that runs from the cd changer to the back of the radio on a 94Q45 so that I can install it like factory. Thanks very much

Well, I don't have any photos of the wiring under the carpet or behind the panels but I can give you the basics of part of the route. My changer is in the pass. side rear corner of the trunk, the wires run from there forward up under the rear deck across to the driver side then back to just above the drivers side rear tail light (don't ask me why ), at that point the harnes from the changer (which is a brown DIN cable) plugs into a black DIN cable which then runs forward through the trunk on the drivers side up to the radio(?). From the trunk I don't know if it runs along the door sills or up through the center console.

to add to qsiguy's post, my 93 factory cd changer ran from the trunk to the console through the door sills.when i ran separate stuff, i just did it down the center console, relatively easier, but not much more.

Basically Matt, if you have enough cable run it whereever the heck you want. Doesn't really matter as it's all covered up anyway. Try not to leave lumps in the carpet, steer clear of moving parts, avoid other wiring harnesses with large power cables (as you can get radiated noise), and don't run any screws through the cable when you put it back together.

Main thing to realize is that the Sony has special asymmetric bushings to accomodate the vertical mounting. Most others don't as they are designed for horizontal mounting under the rear package try.
