How much is it?

And are you prepared to deal with the muffler deadening settling into the bottom of the canister in 3 months?

I'd go with custom or BRM before Megan.

well, its $289+shipping for a full stainless catback from underground. it may not be the best choice, but unless you guys want to help out my bank account than i really have no other option. but again, do you have any other pictures from the side?

Just search....how do you think I found those two links :)

IIRC one of the links has a GIF file of it that shows the side...at least partially.

The people that own them say that the tip is a little ackwardly long .

IMO the megan racing exhaust is a bang for the buck, and it sounds really nice too.

I don't want to dis ANY other company's product - Please don't get me wrong.

I also like Chris at UGM very much and would NEVER try to take $$$ out of his pocket - He helps support NICO.

That being said, all I can say is the Megan sounds great for 3-6 months, and I agree - It's a great catback if you're planning on selling your car in a year or so.

Truth be told, I can't even buy the materials and pay my fabricators for $289 per system... Must be child labor. :)

i think i might just buy a used higher-end exhaust, like hks or apexi. im kind of a fan of the n1, but i simply dont have the money and need an exhaust ASAP.

Guys, I am a distributor for HKS and HKS, so this is not a biased opinion.

But lets face the facts, the HKS and Apexi exhausts are made in China or Taiwan. They aren't being made in Japan.

Gary McKinney, from McKinney Motorsports, liked my Megan exhaust so much, that we are trading for his HKS Dragger.

This exhaust is ultra straight and the quality is awesome, this is the unbiased truth. For $289, you can't beat it!

Whatever you do, DON'T buy a used one... That's like wearing someone else's underwear.

If money is the issue, GET the Megan from UGM.

p.s. HKS and Apexi are NOT "high-end". Trust me, I've taken them apart.... Glossy ads are succeeding in fooling the unknowing.

Nope.

But we dyno-tested it. Extensively.

7-11 hp, average of 9 consistently.

One of the better performers, but only by a couple hp.

We made 9 hp consistently and said, "Our work is done." :)

I have the exhaust. It's great. For $289, you can't beat it. My only complaint is that it is LOUD and droning. But any 3inch exhaust with a huge tip like that is going to be loud and droning.

I'm not sure what Hitman is talking about with the exhaust only sounding good for 3-6 months. I've had mine for about 6 months and it sounds just the same as it did when I installed it. I guess he's assuming that the gaskets are going to deteriorate?

Not the gaskets - The muffler material (inside the canister).

In certain states, loud and droning is good! Keeps you from spending extra cash on an audio system! :)

why dont u just cut the tip shorter? a little ghetto but ehh...a little deburring would make it look almost like an n1, without the slant

Yeah cut it short and sand/file/polish it up a little bit nobody'll know.
