So im not to sure how many of you know but im picking up an altima coupe at the end of the week and a local company is one of the sponsors for the build of it. hes going to do what ever i ask for carbon parts and even some fiberglass items like bumpers and what not, but ive also talked him into doing parts for the community in general so what ever you guys are interested in getting done post it up. ive already told him about the grill and bumper so its going to be looked after. but he can do everything from carbon wraps on the dash kits to carbon hoods, here are some pics of his work for the subaru which i just sold for the altima lol.rad cover alternator cover boost solenoid cover rear jdm aero guards 2002-2003 wrx eyelids on the retro i believe i did if its matts car cant remember lol (and thats also my old front mount)

I've got a local guy here in Calgary who does CF wraps and whatnot too...Next summer I'm contracting him to do my engine cover, front splitter, the fabric pieces on my door panels, and center console. This guy also does toilet seats...I've seen it....it's epic.

how about a funtional hood with a flush mounted scoop... not similar to the evo. I'm doing 1 build right now for my gf (rsx) and I'm getting my A/C hopefully soon depending on a loan. I know that the A/C only has an OEM carbon fiber hood, I'd like to see something with a little style. Nothing to dramatic but something different.

sorry, ime not big on the carbon fiber look. If you got some parts made out of carbon fiber then painted them OEM colors, that could be nice. Might drop the weight down alot.

It would drop the weight significantly, but you can always buy something carbon fiber and get it painted. Most don't cause they want everyone to know that they have something carbon fiber.

the good thing is i would leave it cf on my car since its black not worth the money to get it painted plus its a sponsored car so it has to have some bling for the shows.

the guy i have here does toilet seats to, he did a green one and is going to start producing them

there was actually a thread on here the other day asking for a carbon fiber engine cover. the engine cover and radiator cover would do real good. maybe in the future some people will want larger carbon fiber body parts (doors, hoods, fenders, trunk) for the weight reduction.

Is it even possible to do this? I mean, can you wrap something which (as far as I know) doesn't come off? I'm pretty sure it's molded to the rear bumper........I'd thought about this too but dismissed it because of that.

alot of products are that are supposed carbon fiber arnt real there just carbon fiber wraps or overlays with fiberglass underneath. to get say a hood thats all carbon would be pretty flimsy thats why the more expensive hoods wrap both sides in cf and fiberglass in the middle, until you start getting into f1 racing and what not where its true cf becuase they have more money then brains and just layer it

I would love to see carbon fiber accents in the cabin such as kickplates and air vent. Maybe even a Shift gate. I suck at installing overlays is this going to be the same

correct me if i'm wrong, i thought one of the main function of CF is that they can hold up to high heat cuz they transfer the heat faster.

not sure about the fiberglass or whatever component underneath the carbon fiber wraps or overlays though.

Sorry but you are kind of wrong Mike. Most carbon fiber doesnt perform well in high heat. It expands to much. You can get carbon fiber that does well with heat, but it is very expensive. Plus carbon fiber fades out when it is exposed to the sun for to long. So unless you want your carbon to start turning brown, you will need to keep it parked in the shade as much as possible. I have done alot of carbon fiber testing. (not for cars, but hockey sticks) I used to be sponsored by a company called Innovative hockey (now know as Warrior hockey) I did all the testing on all there carbon fiber sticks, I would help the owner at the factory and place orders for all the pro's. The sticks would be alot stiffer and perform alot better on the ice. But when used for roller hockey, I would brake alot of them because the heat would make them to soft.
