Need Pda Sony Clie Help!!!

Hey guys and girls, I have a Sony Clie PEG-UX50 and I dropped it on my desk and now the screen has a crack in it I know that the screen itself is not damaged but the glass top is the only thing thats cracked and need to replace that. Last thing I wanna do is wait 10 business days and pay somewhere around $140 to have it fixed by SONY so I'm trying to see if I can find some other place I can send it to and have it fixed for cheaper or buy the glass part myself and replace it myself or~ take it in to a service place with the part and just have them replace it for me. ANY HELP~!!!!????? PLZ~!!!!!

I tried that website and also called him but he doesnt have parts for my pda actually I tried alot of places where they do similiar jobs and no one has the glass part for my pda

You think if someone can custom make the glass part only? coz like I said b4... its not the LCD thats broken. ONLY the glass thingy.

And I dont wanna call Sorny either... dont feel like getting ripped off today

Ive had my eye on this T3 for awhile now. Maybe since you broke yours, I'll use that as an excuse to get a new one for me. Think the wife will buy it?:thinker

Well.... Its only like hair cracks.. I can still use it to its full potential... the cracks dont stop me from reading stuff and etc but its just sad to see the cracks in the screen u know? Besides.. I dont wanna spend another $600 to buy another UX50... althought I did see some refurbished ones for $400.... but Im not rich.

Also, what kind of material do u think its made out of? you think I can cut some thin plastic and replace it? hehe just kidding.... unless it really works -.-

You could have another piece of glass cut but it has that sensor thingy on it. Maybe just the top glass is fractured. Have you ever taken it apart?

I tried but the screw is wayyyyy to small... i have nothing that fits it. If there it is 2 layered glass, its gotta be the bottom one since if i touch the screen with my hand, its all smooth over the cracked places.
