I know there are some computer heads on here, so see if this is familiar to anyoneOn my computer lately, I have been getting a ton of prono pop-ups. That I know of, I don't know that any of my other family members installed any of those pop-up install program prompts, and I don't visit porno websites. I already did the pop up block for Windows XP...Also- My calculator on the computer is missing. I heard about a virus that replaces it and people usually don't notice it, but we did.Anyone know how to stop these pop-ups and or about a possible virus I might have? Thanks-Kev

Do you have broadband? Sometimes you can have a firewall installed by the company no charge........

i run software and hardware firewalls. I also run Ad-ware and spybot software that searches out spyware and other types of annoying programs that are bundled with software and cause these types of problems. Its not a matter of one software program providing protection, you need layers of protection.

Do you have a broadband connection? Cydoor and Spyware dont care what connection you are running. Most of these types of programs can be installed while you are browsing. I would rather have too much protection than not enough. You can use McAfee's online virus scan. They bundle firewalls and virus protection all in on user interface.
