Need Opinions

Got a chance to pick up a 91 300ZXTT, 56k original miles, Black with T-Tops, Leather interior(emaculate), aftermarket MOMO wheels, OEM wheels that have less than 500 miles on them, Paint is ok for 13yo car. Has a minor dent in rear quarter(probably can be pulled out with ease), Female driven. It is an automatic, but she only wants $5k!!! Should I snag this or what?

If you have the cash, that is one pimp ride. Keep in mind, the 300ZX TT is a PITA to work on though. The engine bay is freakin cramped.

Extremelay hard car to work on everyone says.But the price is real good especially for such low miles.

If you decide to pass on it, please pass the info on to me. Also, if you need someone w/ Z32 experience to check it out, LMK. I do all the work on mine (have pulled the motor 4 times and re-assembled my block from scratch this spring).

How is the auto trans in the z32tt? Also, how difficult is it to swap to a 5mt.

I might try to get it even cheaper than that, I just looked @ it in the light and it has 83k, dumbass car salesman told me 56k. Definately needs a paint job and the scuff mark and dent fixed. Gonna offer around 2500-3k, if it runs ok.

I say go for it Mike! I would love to see you in a Z car and we need more active Z car owners. The Z32 is the most sexy of all the Z cars IMO!

Well, this car is a complete piece of ****. I could handle the body needing a little TLC, but took it for a drive today and NO BOOST!! WTF is all that about. Went from 14in vacuum to 0psi, thats all it had. Was slower than my NA beater se-r. So she can go ahead and give it to charity like she had planned on, becuz no way is it worth 1500 more less 5k.

Sounds like at least one of the turbos is shot. Was the CEL on? Did it feel like it pulled at all? It could be a major boost leak too, I suppose. Which stealership is this at?

Back lot of Huffman. The chic that owns it is selling it for 5k. But she is in for a rude awakening. It pulled slower than my NA SE-R. Even with a boost leak it should still boost some. It wouldn't go pass 0psi. Idle was rough also.

The automatic would have been a deal breaker for me without seeing it. Sorry to hear about the wasted trip, but was the female owner cute?

Haven't seen her, only talked to her on the phone. I guess it would be worth saving if you wanted a project car that needs work from the ground up, which I don't. She was adament about 5k, but I haven't informed of how much a POS it really is.
