The wheels on my J30t piss me off because i dont think the people before me cleaned them ever. They have dirt that is caked onto them and I cannot even remove it with simple green. Some spots come up but these are the same spots that will also come up with regular car wash soap.

Anyway, my question is. Should I get some wurth alloy paint and repaint the wheels or does anyone know of a better cleaner that i could try. Im sick of looking at the nasty wheels, i had planned on getting the G35 wheels but i dont think I will ever do that. Let me know what you think. Has anyone else tried this?

Have you tried using a powerwasher....... I blasted all kinds of dirt away from my wheels..... I personally would repaint them, it will flake off eventually and look worse......

Try some really fine steel wool.......

yea i tried using a pressure washer and it didnt remove any of the dirt. The thing is i think the dirt has been on there for years as my brother had the car before me since 98 and it was outside on college campus and wasnt driven too often.

Ill give the steel wool a try and see what happens.

Make sure you get the finest stuff you can find, otherwise it could <and probably will> scratch it...... You could use some simple green with it...... Full strenght, let it sit for a minute, and then start scrubbin!!!

Ph of 13 ?!?

Make sure you take the wheels OFF the car before you use this! That may damage paint, driveways, etc., etc., etc.

If you have access, use a steamer, like you would use on wallpaper, or clothing. Get the wheel hot with steam, and it will come out. It is a pain, and takes a long time, but works. I would take the wheels off the car, and do them one at a time. Most of the grime on your wheels is road tar, or brake dust that was baked on, and will come off with steam.

I bought a clothes steamer from Wal Mart for about $15 to $30, If I remember. It might have been Brookstone.
