I need some help and this was the best place I could think of to go to...So here goes.

I found a 89 240sx ka24det for sale and I'd really like to buy it,here are the details..

arp head studsfront mount intecooler 35r turbo 440 injectors stage 3 act clutch, aem wide bandafc300zx mafSupra fuel pump (?)

He says it needs tuned better, but overall it runs good..Boost is set to 8psi

What do I need to buy to get this tuned correctly? is the afc and wideband enough? I just want a safe tune, until I learn more/upgrade

That apears to be a pretty friggin sweet piggyback. I can vouch for Haltec...they don't sell bad products. The options look pretty awsome. I may go with this myself...thx for the link.

If you buy the above car, I'd retard the base timing a little just to be safe. Then readvance it when you buy the Haltec piggyback. With timing retard and fuel control you're limits will be injector size and internal strength.

ok,i'll search around here on how to retard the timing...

I like that piggy back, but I don't think I can use it on this 240 as there isnt a ka24det listed.

You can probably get the thing to work, just talk to Haltech about the Ka and see if its possible. It works with nissan ECU's, however those ecus listed are coil pack types.
