I am looking for a 225/50/15 performance, summer only tire.

If i could find a dealer that sell hankook RS2 tires AND will ship to CANADA, my search would be over. I can't seem to find any.

I have been looking at the BFGoodrich Gforce KD, and th e BFG Gforce Sport. Wondering if anyone had any experience with these tires. I am also open to other tires, provided they are 225 or wider 15's.

Any suggestions.

Kind of like this site?

http://www.1010tires.com/tire....12%29

Edit: Sorry, I didn't realize that 1010 doesnt have the size you are looking for. My usefulness is now over.

I have experience with the Gforce sports. they are fairly good traction. grippy enough for daily. and they break away predictably and seem to last a really long time for their grip level, and fairly cheap.

beyond that though are you looking for track / autocross tires or tires on that level of grip like falken azenies?

as for stores... a discount tire store (discounttire.com) was just built near me and they've got my business for all my tire needs. they seriously hook me up!

dont know about hte 15inch sizes though...

Falken azenies. they are made in the size you are looking for even though discounttire doesnt have that size on their site, http://falkentire.com/rt615_sizes.html give them a call and they should have it. (they didnt have my RE01R's on their site at all, gave them a call and they had the cheapest price in town for me, then they swapped and balanced my old tires to a 2nd set of rims free of charge)

I dont know if you have a store in your area, but you can still order from them.

the azenies are pretty much the defacto / most popular tire for autocross... I see them on tons of cars at events. I even see lots of people that daily drive the azenies, then put racing slicks on for events.

uh... 140 treadwear rating. They are made for grip, not longevity. It's a tradeoff, you cant have both.

If you REALLY want both, My opinion would be the g-force sports are the best compromise... But dont count on being very competitive against autocrossers running azenies or other super grippy tires.

but with the gforce sports, you can also take them drifting and they should still last.

The 615's don't list a 225/50/15.

What about the KD's.

I would rock the KD's. I can even get them for a decent price, but i heard they are really bad in the rain. Anyone know how bad? Like, compared to 3mm left on 10year old yokohama's.Are they bad compared to other brand new tires or are they just down right dangerous?

the falkens are equal to the hankooks, personal opinions vary on which one edges out the other, but the falkens are way more expensive

you probably wouldnt want kd's in the rain, but i dont have any personal experience with them so i cant say for sure

ah, yeah but a 205/50/15.

just a tiny bit smaller tire... it would affect your speedo by about 3.3%

your speedo will say 60mph and you will actually be going 58mph

But that is a fairly large stretch on an 8 inch wide wheel, so that decreases the profile more. It is mainly the width i am concerned with. I want a square fitment, i think stretched tires look weird, i like a fatter look. I can get an kankook in 205/50/15 anyone have a pic of what a 205 looks like on a 8" wheel?
