need opinions on some exhaust products.

hi everybody, i failed my emissions a while back and the reason it failed is becausei have leaks and holes in my exhaust system all over the place, leak from the exhaust mani, cat, resonatore, and muffler. i'm gonna get the brm catback and a highflow cat but my question was which headers should i go. i want something cheap but something that will last me a while because i plan on going turbo in about a year, hence the good catback, and cheap header, i'd get the hot shot but dont' want to spend that much money on something that's gonna be gone in about a year or so. pacesetter, or obx, i'm leaning towards the obx right now. any advice or comments would be appreciated

try looking for used hotshot header. I got mine for $165.

if you're gonna go turbo in a year... don't buy the headers, you won't use it after you go turbo... save the money or buy something else

see that's the thing, i need to pass emissions and my headers are leaking and i might as well replace them with an aftermarket unit and then sell them in a year. it might seem like a waste of money but i need to pass emissions and i don't want to pay more buying new stock ones,

$100 picked up for my used pacesetters. the paint has already burned off (like all of them), so ill go take pics tomorow. im in rockford which is 90 miles nw of chicago so it seems like were pretty close. ill email you the pics tomorow.

Modifications before the cat aren't allowed per visual inspection. Check how lax the visuals are in your area before you get a header.

pace setters suck and it's a waste if ur goin turbo..just keep the stock manifold, headers arent gonna make that much of a difference to throw the hundred bucks away for a couple of months...trust me, jsut save and get the catback

see here's the thing, you guys really gotta read the beginning of the thread because i said my current exhaust system is a piece of **** and it's got holes all over, my exhaust manifold has a leak where it connects onto the head, it's bent, therefore i need something,cheap that will last me about a year,i do agree with you on one thing though, the pacesetters do suck as i have just been reading and found that out, i think i'm gonna go with obx for now and then to take care of my emissions problems, and i'm definatly gonna get the brm catback, who makes a good catalytic converter or are they all the same?

If you want something nice I recommend you going with Greg's BRM, from what I've been reading, no one has had any negative comments, or maybe it's because they don't want to get banned from the forum ;o No, but forreal, he's got good exhaust system for a competitive price. However if you are willing to wait a little and want something a little more unique, BUY MY URAS... whenever Rare Trick sends it to me... and as you know, we don't live more than like 5 miles from each other. I wouldn't ban someone for something like that. I like the feedback on my stuff, positive or negative...

I think I've had 2 dissatisfied customers out of 150 or so, and there wasn't much we could do for them...

wow, weird that both you are on this post, this is my dilemma, do i drive a few miles and pay 400 bux to get the uras stainless steel, which is my number 2 choice, or do i wait and get the brm stainless steel, which is gonna cost me $545 shipped to my door, and btw it's my number 1 choice, oh my head is hurting thinking about this for days, and also about the header that whiterps13 has, oh the choices, make me mad and happy at the same time. i just don't know, somebody just end my life so i don't have to think any more,
