Well I just purchased a set of 16 x 7.5 wheels and I am now in the market for tires. I am going to be using them to drag race a lot but I also auto-cross quite frequently. I DO NOT want drag radials, or slicks, or anything else that extreme. I want to be able to go to the track.....hook up decently and then drive home on the same tires. The car will be turboed at the time if that makes any difference.

I was thinking of going with Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712's 245 width but....I dunno. What do you guys think would be a good tire. I want either 235 or 245 width cause...well I bought the wheels cause they could support big meats.

A crappy tire won't hook up no matter how wide it is. In other words, quality 205's will give you a better 60' than crappy 245's. Check out the ecsta MX in 225/50. I run these and love them. Cheap, good wear, and they stick. My only complaint is that they sound like off-road tires on certain surfaces. :)

Yokohama ES100's would be better to go with then kumho 712's.

I think I will try the Kumho Ecsta MX's. 225/50/16, should be enough grip for a turbo KA.
