Need opinions on a spring, please

My QX4 is beautiful...if only just 16 yrs old...

When I put about 800+ lbs of dirt (in bags) into the back of it, the driver's side rear wheel well is within 1/2" of touching the tire. The passenger side is fine.

My mechanic told me it cost about $800 parts and labor. Of course, it's only available from the dealer. My mechanic told me just not to put that much dirt in it and it will be fine!

It does ride fine when I'm not carrying dirt for my wife's garden...

My thought is to agree with the mechanic...and make more trips to get the dirt. Shall I save the $$?

get some old man emu springs. http://www.oldmanemu.com.au/products/coil-springs/ about $170 a pair
they have medium duty and heavy duty springs. it does lift the rear a bit though.
that solved my issues with too much weight in the rear , but 800 lbs is alot of weight. i would add some heavy duty shocks as well or every bump
you go over will compress the spring

Yup! Just like 04pathse suggests, I used the airlift bags. Perfect for towing. I can send you before and after pictures with a trailer
