I have been in contact with a member of another forum who has the following for sale:Quote »OKay...

Basically im trying to sell the Maroon exa AS IS not running.I have take out the microtech and the standard ECU is having issues with the T3 turbo.

It has:S13 CA18DET3" Mandrel bent mild steel turbo back with high flow cat exhaustT3 turbo (rebuild 2000kms ago)Custom low mount manifoldBraided oil feed lineMonroe GT gas strutsKing lows in frontCut springs in rearDrift oil catch canX racing front strut brace17" BSA rims have a bit of gutter rash still look okayGreddy full auto turbo timerS13 ECUHuge front mount with stainless steel pipingFront slotted rotorsTwin core copper radiatorVLSD N13 SSS boxBrass button clutch

Things wrong:Needs paint jobHas a leaky injector and wont fire cylinder 1 cause of itWiring needs a tidy up

I basically am buying a family car, and just need this car gone.I have no time to fart around with it anymore.

With about $1.5k extra you can have a 200kw at the wheels N13.Car has 125,000kms on it and engine i believe 80 odd.

This car is even good just for the parts for your own conversion...

Has rego and mod plate for QLD, rego till April.

Im after $3700 as is.

I will consider seperating the parts...

Complete Engine - $900 with leaky injector no manifold or turboT3 with manifold and lines - $900Front mount with piping - $700Complete Exhaust - $800S13 loom and ECU - $150Twin core rad - $250

Or as a package for $3.3k

Box and clutch - $500

So as you can see it would be worth it to buy the car complete.

I am pretty firm on the prices...I just need it gone.[/quote]now, I was told to offer $1600 AU ($1472 CDN) for the complete engine, exhaust mani, t3 turbo, fmic and piping, loom and ecu. I tried getting the dump pipe/down pipe (still figureing out difference, yes some noob). but he said its custom from dump to cat, with only two joints, specifically for the catalytic converter.

he said the lowest he'd do for that setup would be $2000 AU.

I then thought again, and ran through his parts list, and asked him what he would take for :ca18det, fmic and piping, ecu and harness, t3 turbo and exhaust manifold, braided oil feed line, oil catch can, turbo timer, and bov.

he said, $2000 but for a guaranteed sale.

now, shipping from where he is in Australia (Queensland) to Regina, SK, at the custom's depot, would be $700 AU.

he claimed that he could put "not running" on any customs sheet, as it isnt running 100%, because of that leaky injector . . . although he claims it runs, just misses sometimes on cylinder one because of said injector.

My question is, does this sound like a good, "money well spent" option?

It will be going into a nissan pulsar.

please no brand bashing, "you should save it and buy a real car like a talon" or anything of the sort.

here is a picture of what the engine looked like before he took out the microtech ECU (not being included with sale):

opinions?

the shipping would take 44 days via shipping container, I'm told he will take care of all wharf fees in Australia, as well as shipping arrangements to Regina, SK through his shipping partner.

now, In australia, it was dyno tested at putting down 169 fwkw (about 226 fwhp). Although I'd assume that is pretty close to sea level being on the coast of Australia . . . It also was run with the microtech ECU. The stock ca18det ECU will have ****s on anything above 11-14 psi with the t3 turbo, But I plan on saving that with a larger MAF, maybe a 300zx one.

thanks in advance for any opinions/advice.

I'm from Australia, I love my CA18s..but the FWD people are a different breed.I'd be more likely to distrust this Honda-wannabe crowd.

I reckon if everything is legit.. then $2000 is a fair going price, If the engine is not toasted. Transplants have a habit of overheating from blown water hoses etc. As the cam covers are resprayed, it's hard to judge the age of the engine.
