Need Opinion

I found a 92 s13 coupe with 5 speed on craigslist. says it runs but there is a leak on the exhaust manifold side and that the rear suspension feels loose. he wants $750. I have a 96 s14 that is a 5 speed with nice interior but the clear coat is missing in places and its scratched up a little. The speedo doesnt work and neither does the tach. Its got a camber kit and toe kit on it with new shocks lowering 1 1/2" with tokico struts and new tires. Im just wondering if you would sell the s14 and take that money and fix up the s13 or just stick with what you have. he said the body is decent but the interior is a little rough on the s13

Haha i know but think about it... i could get 3k for my s14 and put allllllll that into the s13. And i have a local junk yard with 3 unmolested s13s for any parts i could need cheap. Haha its a tough choice for me. Ya know im 17 and if i got that s13 coupe i could make it into a good little street car. Right now my s14 is nothing but troubles and i have no money to put into it.

Sounds like they both need about the same amount of work. Keep the headache you're familiar with.

couldnt you use the money that you would use on the s13 to fix all the problems on the s14?

i guess it all comes down to which body style you like most.i mean seriously. its an automobile. problems will arise....

ya i feel ya.i just did a little research ya know to help me out. I broke down some stuff i could get. all this is shipping included or free shipping items from ebay.so i sell the s14 for 3k3000-750 for s13-500 coilovers-350 for sway bars, toe, and camber bars-300 for 5 lug conversion front and rear-300 vlsd and axles from a 180sx-150 for complete bushing set650 plus job money and stuff this summer for wheels and matainence ( sorry about spelling)

ok screw the wheels i forgot about the silvia front end conversion. That is really the whole point of me wanting an s13 coupe. but that 650 plus a little extra should get me on my way to a silvia front end

Some times you can get lucky.

If your looking for new coilovers expect to pay more. Your going to run into something thats going to mess up your price plans. Every s13 has a snag. BTW how much rust is on it?

Not sure how much rust yet. He said the body was in good shape except the front bumper. My dad is going over to that part of the state thursday and i told him to take plenty of pictures haha. He is the one that found my s14.But ya the coilovers are some no name brand. You can get Godspeed coilovers for around 600 shipped.If i do get this car its going to be a stripped down street/track car. Im trying to get into SCCA and my s14 is not up for that right now. I really am leaning towards gettin the s13. I love that body with the Silvia front end on it. Reminds me of an r32 a little.
