This shouldn't be a problem, since most of you do it anyway, without really trying to be all that helpful. This time I am wanting to know what some of you think of the idea of putting blackouts on my headlights of my 1995 240. It is black, so I think that it would look godd, but I don't think that will look ricey. Please let me koe if you think this would be a good thing to do , and if anyone knows where to pick these up at, please let me know. Thanks.

Personally I would never want something as cheesy as headlight covers. I have a 95 as well. I don't think they look that bad in the front. It's all personal opinion though, if you really want to do it, go for it, but I can think of better things to spend the money on.

IMO I think it is just the opposite, not ricey enough(is there such a thing?) I think blackouts look good on trucks and American Muskle Kars, i.e., Mustang, Camaro, Firebird.

Not ricey as much, though white trash and mexican lowrider come to mind.

Just dont do it, the beauty of these cars is that they can look good as JDM street machines not American Ricer Style.

That is just one of those upgrades for either the people lacking of funds or those who are squeamish about actually messing with engines, suspensions, warranties, etc.

OK, the thing about doing more with the money is just ridiculous. They cost under $40, so the only question here is taste. If you like them or not. So far I see some of you don't, but I don't think they would look bad at all, especially since my car is black. I doubt that they would be that noticable. It's not like it would make them stick out. They would just blend more. If I had a better looking set of headlights though, I might not be trying to cover them up, but they are stock, and I think don't look all that great. Are there any other options as far as better looking headlights, like clear or projector headlights.

Hodge (gold 95 240 pics in meet thread) had them for a long time. They looked real good, almost classy.

His mettallic gold color really matched up well with it tho, I dont know how many other colors it will work with.

I dont like "tack-on"s...but thats just me. any blackouts, door sill things, etc just remove from the cars finished look, in my opinion.

If this mattered to you, you wouldn't have asked for our opinions. It seems to me like you wanted us to reject the idea so you didn't have to make up your own mind. You probably knew you didn't want to put them on or else shoulda said **** them, there goin on.

I think they'd look ok

Who needs a 'nifty' shift nob?

And everyone who's baggin on the dude to spend the money on something that matters. I'm sick of hearing that so shut the **** up.

I don't like 'em, but that's just me - and you asked for opinions. I agree with jemil, leave 'em for the mustangs. If you want 'em, go ahead!

I dont even like the bomex eye mask(to look like 97-) for 95-96. But i still would like some new shiny lights, Why tint the lights? To me thats like covering the intake. Oh and I just converted my center console to a change draw for 10 extra hp. He He He:thinker
