Need of some VIN decoding assistance to anyone out there

Hello all,
So I've had my JDM Z32 for almost 3 years now. Being in active duty military I haven't really quite driven it as much due to numerous deployments and other military activities. I plan on shipping the car in late 2018 so that i can hit the 25 year old mark and not worry so much about modifying the vehicle since it's from japan.
The data plate on the car does not have the 17/18 digit vin number that you would normally find in an american spec vehicle, but instead in japan they go by the chassis number. I've researched different sites to figure out how to decode the vin on my car and have not found any success. Is there anyone out there that may have any information with this issue i am having?
I have a friend stationed in japan and he is doing me a huge favor by asking their version of the dmv to maybe find out some info for me. I would really appreciate it if you anyone in this forum can assist me. Thank you very much!!!
