picture that shows the B1, B2 numbers and their location on the exhaust. Did they make some non Calif models with a rear O2 after the CAT?

Thanks for the help

I e-mailed you the exhaust section from a FSM, since I couldn't load the diagram to members rides without distorting it badly. The B2 location is the one at the front of the car, and B1 is near the firewall. I believe both Fed and Cali spec have one sensor after the cat.

Thanks for the picture. I reviewed the O2 section in the How To's and there are only codes listed for the front and the rear O2. What is the code for the third one at the rear of the CAT? Am I correct that the codes for a 1998 I30 can be retrieved from the ECU located behind the kick plate to the right of the gas peddel as described in the How To?

Your opinion on using Bosch O2's that need to be spliced into the existing wires (sold at Auto Zone, Pep Boys, etc)? Are all the O2's the same spec except for perhaps the harness length and clip style?

Thank you for the help.

Codes P0136 through P0141 are for the downstream (after cat) O2 sensor. Yes, you are correct on ECU location. The O2 with the OEM plug connction are not that much more expensive, and saves you the time of soldering the wires. You can check with one of our sponsors who carries Denso O2's.
