My Infiniti QX4 needs a new transmission I was wondering if anyone could tell what other transmissions might fit it. I was thinking maybe a Nissan Pathfinder's transmission would fit it but I don't know. Also the engine it has is a 3.3L and its 4X4.

I reviewed the factory service manuals for both models at http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/ and it shows the same "Automatic Transmission Model" but the "Transmission Model Code Number" are different - and I'm not exactly sure what that means. I checked http://www.car-part.com and the Pathfinder's transmission doesn't show up in a QX4 search, so that doesn't bode well either.

It might be worth calling the parts guys at http://www.infinitipartsusa.com and asking if both models share a transmission part number.

Do the wheels on my truck look familiar?
