So i'm hoping for some help here... I have a 2009 Rogue and I just had the CVT transmission replaced under warranty (66k miles and it dies). I got it back for about two weeks, and now i'm having misfiring issues. I took it to my closest nissan dealer here in LA (unfortunately I had the transmission replaced in Vegas but I'm in LA now) and they found that one of the ECM pins is broken which is causing the misfiring (bad connection). They told me that they can't just replace the ECM but they need to also replace the TCM. Does anyone know if that's really the case? I spoke with my normal service guy in Vegas and he said they should be able to just replace the ECM and not both. A third shop I talked to said they should replace both... I can't seem to get a straight answer. Could someone help provide some insight?

Also, when the mechanic replaces the transmission, would they ever need to plug into the ECM (which might be when a pin on the ECM could break)?

Thanks!
