Eh you guys are railing on Dell a little too much. As far as customer service goes, they're still GREAT. The few times I had problems with my Inspiron lappy last year they had a guy out with parts the next day to my place to fix it, and when one of my friends completely messed his up, they picked it up from his apartment, he didn't have to organize any shipping, and it was only gone for one full day, it was taken on Monday, back on Wednesday, shipping worries aren't an issue anymore. They can make cheap computers cheaper than almost anyone. Sure we can make expensive ones more cheaply, but that's not where they make their profit or their name.

Oh right, that being said, my first computer was an HP, followed by Gateways and Dells, and I've moved on to building my own since then, mainly because I enjoy having an e-pen15 and overclocking is becoming a bit of a hobby.

You guys need to lighten up on Dell. I have heard, and seen, nothing but good things about them. Stuff rarely ever fails, and if it does, there tech support is available 24/7, and a Dell service station is usually within 30~60minutes.

The only thing that I really despise about brand name computers is that they load a bunch of crappy software on it. It's amazing how slow they can get a brand new computer to run. When my friend bought an HP, he used it for about 2 days, and then he called me up. He said he thought his computer should be running faster then it does since it's brand new. So I busted out the ol' homemade Windows XP Professional cd, went over to his house, formatted the HD, and installed XP Pro. It was a night and day change. It's amazing what a clean XP install can do.

Anyway, I think that you would be very pleased with the computer that Daedulus linked to .

p.s. WWhy no responses to my mini-rant?
