Need motor (KA24DE)

Hey guys, NEWB here. I am looking at buying a 92' notchback for $1,000.00, and it needs a motor. The factory head was warped and the origional owner left the head at the shop that was gonna do the work. The car sat for 2 yrs. and rust has formed on the cylinders. Instead of doing a teardown and rebuild and have to find missing parts, i figured a good used/junkyard motor would be fine.

First, what are my options as far as years to choose from for a straight forward swap. I do not plan on doing any mods to the motor.

Second, where is a good source for said motor.

Third, is there an available source where i can download the FSM online and burn it to a CD.

Ok, Got the fsm.

I have done alot of searching to find a motor, and havent come up with many. Will the KA24DE from an altima bolt in? I understand that i would have to swap accesories and stuff, but is it possible (with the FWD block) to put the motor in a rear wheel drive application. I have done some searching but havent found anything on a ton of forums.

I'm in the same boat you're in. I am also looking for a KA for my '91. Let me know what you find about using a Altima KA for the 240. I'll do the same.
