need major help

ok guys i know that a bunch of you have had the same problem that i am having and i need to know how to fix it the starter on my car went it out and i replaced it like a dummy with one out of a junkyard it worked for for about 4 days and i noticed the starter begininng to drag a lil then i was drivin around one day and i shut the car off and it wouldn't start..... i tried beating it with a wrench crossing the + and - over not happening just a bunch of burnt hairs off my arm and alot of sparks plus its in the impound now and i need to what would be makin the starters go out there used to be a remote starter hooked up on the car and i removed what do you all think..... thanks to all those who reply

one word = punctuation.

i've had starters go out on me before, so what I did until I could get one from a parts store was pop the clutch on the car. Get it rolling and then pop the clutch. That will generally be enough to kick the car over and get her running again. Then after that, get her home, take the starter out, and go to Advance Auto and get a reman. They doa core swap, so you end up spending about $100.

btw, I used to live in Wheelersburg many many years ago.

thats a great piece of advise the only problem I have with that though is that my car is a automatic... Do you have any other suggestions or anything thanks for your post

you'll have to get it home. if you have a friend with a trailor, tow it back that way, or you might have to get a tow truck to get it home foryou.
