ok guys. got my car running about a month ago but i need some help. lately, about every other time i go to drive my car, it will not rev over 3800 rpms, (or so it says on my stock 240 tach, i haven't got a new one yet). i really think it has to do with the maf sensor. i just wanted to check up on the wiring and see if it is correct before i go buy a new maf.

i have pin 1 as blankpin 2 as the air signal- black wirepin 3 as the power ground- yellow wire, red stripepin 4 as the signal ground- white wirepin 5 as the power- white wire

when i sent the harness off to be wired, i didn't have a maf plug so i had to put one on afterwards.

this is how the stephen from swap wiring told me to wire it. it was working fine but now i have run into this problem.

another thing that makes me wonder is the fact that there are 5 wires coming out of the harness but only 4 go to the plug. i dont know what the 5th wire is.the one on the left that has no coating.

any help would be appreciated. thank you.

swap wiring suxs!!! i had my rb26 to s14 done by him, he said it was a plug and play harness. well it didnt work. i took the harness apart since my injectors would fire, found all the wires were just twisted up with electrical tape, no soder!! he wire the power for my injectors from like 1 power source out of the ecu that feed like 10 other things, and didnt wire in resistors like i paid extra for!! good luck
