verts are an open diff. Which junkyard was it in? I need some parts off of one. Look for an S14 SE or a J30.

LSD is awesome, so far this winter has been so much easier, and the second I hit dry ground with 1 tire they will not spin at all.

Never been stuck like that before though.

non turbo 300zx rearend is the same gear ratio as the 240 4.08J30 is a little taller 3.90 so the 300zx's 4.08 will be quicker and would be better unless you got mad horsepower/torque and are just not worried about gearing.

That's cool, I gotta look for one, everything is covered in a sheet of ice.

Be aware that if you buy a helical/torsen diff like a Quaife or s15, you'll be in the same situation.

My chassis doesn't bend much, so this happens literally every time I go up my driveway (I have to enter at an angle because of the curb and sidewalk). It's a huge pain. I have a quaife and it will engage both wheels.

If you get the z32 diff you need axles from a 95-96 j30 with the 5-bolt star pattern. The Z axles are too long to fit in the 240, and your 240 axles have a different pattern (3x2). And you need to swap the back covers from your open to the Z diff to bolt it back to the subframe.

I have a Z diff with an s13 rear cover and the j30 axles out of my old 240. Diff has 60-70k miles on it, still hooks up great. 225 + shipping (I paid 350 for it all, just need to get rid of it).
