I have a n/a z32 vlsd. On all the search results people contradict each other. Ok i want to put it into a s13 but cant find the j30 axles around here. So if i swap the internals can i keep my s13 axles? Or will i have to change the stubs the axles bolt too also? It doesnt make sense what people are saying, because if you change the internals and axle stubs you will still have to use j30 axles. So that would be completely pointless and a waste of time. If there is a way to make the s13 axles work please tell me. I just want this cleared up. Or if anyone has j30 axles, and would like to save me a huge headache, i can paypal you some monies on 4/3/09thanks nico homies.

Go to your local parts store.Get the j30 axles remfgd.Should be no more than 150 for the pair.Give your s13 axles back as cores. They won't know the difference as long as you don't swap cores when you pick them up.Wa la new axles problem solved.

Meh I'm kinda on a budget so if I can save money on axles by swaping internals then that's what I want to do.

zerothread?id=288419Check that thread. And do some searching, this subject has been tackled several times. Tired of people who dont know what they are talking about. Then figure it out on your own. If you dont have 135 bucks for new axles then you shouldnt be modding this car. You are gonna need new ones eventually if you are going to be burning out and beating on it. Dont be an idiot, just buy the axles, put the diff in and feel good about it. No need to make yet another Diff thread. And as far as I know, you cant put the Z32 TT diff in the s13 housing, too big. Just buy the axles, they are stronger anyway, and install your diff and quit trying to reinvent the wheel. One of the reasons for upgrading to the Z32 diff is for the added strength. Dont buy the stronger diff and mate it to the weaker axles.

I'm on a budget because this is my dd car so I don't need strong axles. I guess I will just buy new ones then jeez. I told you I searched several sources and found ALOT of different answers.

in comparison the 240 axles ends are smaller and wouldn't fit. if you were to take the part of the z32 axles that connected to the diff and put them on the 240sx shaft. ...if that's what you're trying to say.

ok so before i upgraded to a 2way I had the z32 vlsd. hear is how i set it up.

z32 dif in my s13 shell it fit for me just make sure you shim it correctly.you have to use the j30 or z32 axle stubs because the length of the shaafts are different from the s13. So no you can not use the s13 shafts.sorry but you can(or at least i was able to put the z32 diff in the s13 houseing.

yeah you could to that, I am going to put the 240sx diff cover on the z32 diff I have so it fits. The guy I bought my stuff from gave me the j30 axles. one which needs a C-clip and a bearing cover. gotta make a trip to infiniti

Why don't z32 axles fit? Are they too long? Their still on the car and I can get them for like 5 each.

yeah, they're too long, the 300zx has a wider stance and won't fit in the 240sx subframe
