Need intake help

im trying to put a new intake system and ive got everything good except for the big vacuum line that used to go into the old intake. ive tried putting a breather on it and it didnt work, i need help findinout what to do with it. is tere a way i can delete it or where do i have to put it? because my motorwont hold a steady idle, some times it wont ide and sometimes it bogs from 300-900

Need a little more detail about which line it is. And if the new intake pipe doesn't have a hole for it?

You said you put a breather on it? Was that the line or the intake pipe? If you have holes on the intake pipe they need to be blocked, not a breather.

its the vacuum line that was plugged into the old intake, next to the smaller vacuum line, it runs parallel with the intake manifold and comes out right next to the intake valve. i tried puttng a breather on the metal tube, not the new intake tube.

That sounds like the line running to the idle air control valve. It needs to be hooked up to the intake.

Oooh so you put a breather on the metal tube sticking out of the idle valve? It needs to go to the intake to run, it doesnt really work like that. Im not sure but it might work off of the amount of vacuum from the engine. Hook it up like its supposed to go.
