Ok, found a pic. You should have (but since it's used likely don't):shifteraluminum top collaraluminum spacer ringtwo crecent-shaped platesfour allen-head boltsfour splitwashersring-shaped paper gasketrubber shifter boottwo zip tiesC's badgeInstructions
Now I have never installed a C's shifter but I have done several from other manufacturers and the principle is the same. They shorten the stroke by moving the fulcrum of the lever further up so it takes less motion on your end to do the same work on the business end. Yknow Archemedes and all that crap from 3rd grade science class (see I wasn't just doodling in your class Mr. Jones!)
The installCrack a beer.unscrew the shift knob.pop the shift boot out and expose the weatherseal boot, it should come out easily.pull the four bolts out that hold the retention ring for the boot down, pull the boot. Now you see the transmission and the last boot, Cut the zip tie and flip upthe boot.(if your new shifter didn't come with a new boot, carefully swap this boot to the new stick)there are two snaprings holding the shifter in, remove them and pull out the old stick. There is a nylon cup in there, slide it out, be sure to get the spring out to.Drop in the aluminum spacer from the kit and put the spring an cup back in on top of it.slide the stick in(mind the little man in the boat ), (ensure the nylon bushing slides into the trans shift rod down in there right and the guide pins in the nylon cup line up with the slots in the shifter's fulcrum ball)if you have the paper gasket place it on the transmission hole (make one if you don't have one)slide the kit's top collar over the shifter and make sure the gasket stays in placetake the crecent-shaped dodads and seat them into the groove arountd the transmission housingthe bolts pass throught the top collar and thread into the dodads to hold it down.(test it to make sure it is shifting properly)flip the boot down and zip-tie it to the transmission housingput the rest of that crap back together
