Are you getting oil in your intercooler piping say like your hot pipe, and also have you checked compression yet

What do you mean "kind of rebuilt"? If the motor has fresh rings, you can expect it to eat a little oil

could be a lil oil in the hot pipe. my bottom end is built and my head has some work done to it. but my block has been built for about a little over 6 months

Well one thing that I am thinking is that if you still have your stock turbo it may be time to get a new one.The seal in it may be starting to go out.You will be able to see oil comming out the blow off valve and setting around you couplers. You may want to check into that.

ok so i did a compression test and i have 120 across the board. no coolant burning just oil. and ideas what it could be and would any of you trust any additives from like advance auto or somewhere that would rebuild compression and stop engine smoke

Compression is a little low standard compression should be around 156 and minimum is 128psi so that sounds like a problem with your rings mabye.

O and the difference limit should be no more than 14psi

well when i did the test i took one plug out at a time and did crank at wot, this was how i was told but then i read that you should take all plugs out and crank at wot, maybe that would raise the compression, what about buying additives from an autoparts store?

You do not need to do anything at all with the throttle just disconnect the CAS sensor so it does not start. It also does not matter if the plugs are out or not just crank over about 5 times or have someone crank while you watch the gauge till it peaks. Also some of the additives do work some its a waste but anything made by Lucas is good.

ok this post is getting me a lil nervous,i disassembled all my ic piping and couplers this year for maintence and to fix some possible boost leaks....noticed "some"oil more like black sut mostly on the hot side of the intercooler, i took it to a shop get boiled and pressure tested, the guy said the black is common with turbo but it doesnt seem right , any way to check turbo leaks w/out taking it off the car?

sorry for the novel

When doing the compression test the engine must be warm, pull the fuel pump fuse and crank until it doesn't run anymore (if you don't do this you will flood the engine and mess up the compression reading and add fuel to your oil which isn't good). Once the fuel pressure is relieved unplug the cas harness and removed the spark plug for the cylinder your testing, hook up the compression gauge. The fsm says to hold it at wide open throttle while cranking the engine, make sure your starting system is strong enough to rotate it at 300rpm. The highest number achieved is the compression.

ok so im getting a little confused. when i do my compression tests i unplug all injectors and take out one plug at a time and replace it with the gauge. then i crank it not at wot for about 5 seconds then get the reading. my turbo is less than a year old so i hope its not the seals.

No don't unplug the injectors. Just pull the 10amp fuse for the fuel pump otherwise it will keep pumping fuel when your cranking it. After the fuse is pulled start the engine and let it run until it's out of gas, try starting a few more times to make sure all the fuel is out of the rail. Now unplug the cam angle sensor so the spark plugs don't fire. Remove the spark plug and install the gauge and crank the engine at wot get the reading, move on to the next plug...etc. When your done put everything back together and let your fuel pump prime before starting it again.
