thats an option ... or what i did was when my head was at my machinist being rebuilt, i had them tap that frost plug to accept a -8an 90deg -8an fitting. make sense?

with a tiny bit of hammering to the firewall, it fits with about 1/3" of clearance using the mckinney mounts.

I don't mean to be slamming anyone... but... makes you wonder how the japanese manage to do without the rear drain plug for their endurance races and so on. And no they don't dry sump or surge tank it.

And now since the austrailians swear by it. And it's now a must have mod.

I don't want to say much, But my 2 cents about what I see is happening.

No one seems to be questioning the cause of excess oil in the head and treating the symptoms of the problem (the drain plug). And if you are treating the symptoms... you are no where near understanding what the problem is.

Rare F8 - Well if you go to Tomei's website you'll see that they have oil restrictors that go in the block.

The Aussies aren't the only one's that know about it.

Jeez, so if Tomei sells it, it must be needed, right? Sounds like they got you hook line and sinker. Trust me, I have seen this kinda thing in japan before. They sell all kinds of crap and make up some BS reason just to sell there product. You should see how many brand new cars over here are running super duper grounding kits and crap like that.

The aussie guys have a pretty big knowledge base, but you have to take a lot of what they say with a grain of salt. They will also tell you that RB25's magicaly explode over 400rwhp, and you would need 2 Walbro's to support that much power, but Walbro's are such poor quality that they will crap out after 1 year anyways I'm not saying they don't know what they are talking about most of the time, I'm just saying there is a lot of internet fanboy crap over there that just gets repeated so much it turns into fact, actuall experince aside.
