Need info on a 96 G20 Sadan with electrical problem

I am looking for some information on a 1996 G20 sadan that an old lady wants to sell me.

She said it has some electrical problem where everything stops working. Any ideas what that is and how much it could cost to fix?

Also, all power (even to open the door) is not working right now. Any ideas how to get the hood open from the outside? The doors are not coming unlocked.

The rest of the car is in great condition but the electrical. Is this something that could easily be fixed?

Everything just randomly stops working?

That's odd.

Checking the fuses, battery, and alternator might be the place to start.

Since everything stops presumably all at once, it's probably a single issue, which means it's probably a pretty simple/cheap fix, but it's also possible that the whole wiring harness is shorted or something ridiculous too, it's hard to tell.

So you are telling me you can' t put the key in the door lock and open it? If you can't do that, there is something definately wrong. If you can get inside with the key, then maybe the alternator is shot and in turned drained the battery.
