I'm having some trouble removing my tail lights im sending them out to get Painted, I've removed the carpet surrounding the tailights in the trunk and have unscrewed all three screws on each tail light side. I would think the would just pop right off but it seems they are still attach on the sides. Anyone done this before and know exactly what's still holding them in place?

Never actually did it so not much of a help here. Have you tried to remove the plastic cover when you open the trunk. There might be another screw.

I just looked it up on Alldata. It is an online service manual. It shows removing 3 nuts. Then pulling assembly rearward to remove from vech.

It also states that the sealing packing where the studs go throught the body MUST be replaced.

yeah i see the two sealing buttons where the seal needs to be broken in order to remove the the tail light housings, but what is the way to break the seal my brother said take a wrench and turn it maybe, but when I break it and remove the tail lights where do I by new ones to replace it or should I just fill in the holes where the sealers were and not worry about installing them back in?
