Hello,

Well tonight my friend and I tried to build a homemade bushing press out of steel, bolts and a bottle jack but during the pressing, the angle iron just bent and it sucks in general.

Then we tried a hand held propane torch and managed to melt/press out the inner bushing, but the outer sleeve is still in the link. The cheapest estimate on pressing out bushings that I have been able to get is $150 for all 16 bushings in the rear suspension (all rear arms and uprights).

I have an S13 and live in Westminster, CO. Does anyone in the area have access to a press and dyes and would be cool enough to help me out? Apparently I don't know what I'm doing but I have already gone past the point of no return..........

I have NISMO S-Tunes, 8-piece subframe spacers and sticky Kumho's waiting to go, taking up valueable space in my bedroom. They need to be on the car and getting abused.

Thanks!!!!

I just changed all my suspension bushings to the harder ones from ENERGY SUSPENSION, it took a long time to do. First u have to heat up & melt all the rubber in the bushing, then the outer sleeve u can use a hecksaw to cut a slot on the sleeve.. then carefully use a chisel to bent & pry inward the metal sleeve.. I found it's easier to take the old ones out then putting the new bushing in!
