I am not getting any spark whatsoever to my plugs. I'm not good with ignitions with distributors but any help would be appreciated. I took the cap off and turned it over and the rotor was sparking wildly, but it's not getting to the plugs. I was thinking the wires but the car was running before the water pump exploded....literally. It took out the pump, radiator and fan. Could it maybe have hit the distributor and damaged the cap? I would really like to get this car running. Yes i also purchased new plugs.

A few question for you:

How the hell did you "explode" your water pump?

Have you checked the spacing of your spark plug tips to make sure you dont have them too far apart?

Have you unscrewed the spark plug from the motor and plugged it into a removed wire to visually see that there is no spark away from the motor??

the person that i purchased the car from did not tighten the water pump bolts properly, and i assume this is what caused the "explosion" the plugs are properly gapped and i did pull a plug and check the spark, there is none.
