I have a 2002 nissan maxima and Im getting to the point where I dont really know what direction to take my 6 speed maxima. I bought H and R springs and them got tokico illumina struts for it. Bought new tires and rims for it also. Had the windows tined 65 % all the way around. And bought some chrome pillar posts for the car. Also added a Injen cold air intake for it. And looking at buying a completly new exhaust from Stillen for the car. But after that I dont really know what direction to go with it. If you fellow Maxima enthusiasts could give me some ideas that would be great. I would like to find a chip for it or some other stuff give your ideas.

Describe what you plan to use the car for, and if there is anything particular you want to see an improvement in.

Look into Cattman Performance products. They make full headers, hi-flow cat and catback system for maximas.

For handling improvements, there's front and rear strut tower braces, rear sway bar, energy suspension polyurethane bushings, TEIN SS w/ EDFC...

For braking upgrades, BlehmCo makes an afforable big brake kit upgrade using 300ZX 30mm calipers.

I don't believe there is an ECU upgrade for the 3.5's yet, but a/f tuning with an AFC is always an option.

Stillen aero kit would look great too.

Technosquare has an ECU for the 5.5-gen Maxima.

RSB is the best "bang for the buck" in regards to suspension/handling. You can also add a under-drive pully (or a lightened pully) to the list to free up some ponies.

I've personally heard a Cattman cat-back system and it sounds amazing. Although, I'm still undecided yet as to which exhaust I'll be going with.

Another esthetic mod you can do is the wheel spacers on the rears. Makes the car look a lot better. Also if it were me. I'd go with rsb, then headers. Headers made such a difference in performance. I put cattman headers onto mine, i was a guinea pig for Cattman on testing the headers.

The mod list you've given us so far looks like a good start.

I think you should start looking for a nice set of wheels & tires next.

That was a couple of years ago when Brian was getting the headers ready for the 2k2. My headers were made in New Zealand (one of the best place to buy exhaust parts) but with shipping he went with an American company.
