So I've been looking around at what other people are doing with SR builds and there are so many different options, I dont know what would work best for me as far as availability of parts goes, best parts for my purpose, etc. I'm mainly just looking of rideas from people who have experience and know thier way around an SR.

I have a 1998 SR20DE with 23,011 kms that I will be building and boosting. My goal is for 300 hp to the wheels, if I can get more, great.

I was thinking about sending the block out to get built just so nothing goes wrong to the point that I have to pull the motor again. and this way I can get the block checked out and know everything is straight. For the bottom end I plan to put in 8:1 pistons (not sure of brand yet), rods, head gasket and head studs (not sure of brand again), and get an oil return bung welded on the pan. As for the head, the only thing I know I need is rocker arm stoppers. I want to build a head that will handle higher rpm, but I want to keep the variable valve timing as well.

I have heard of lots of people boosting the N/A with 10:1 compression without issue, but I have a feeling I might blow something up if I do that. I am aiming for a somewhat proper build so I know my engine will stay together under load.

I also will be running full 3" exhaust, Garrett T3 Turbo, custom made turbo piping, stage 2 clutch, KA24DE Trans, solid driveshaft, Z32 LSD, AFR Gauge, also looking into an emmulator (sp?) chip like my friend installed in his Z32. I'm tired so some of this might not make sense, if anything needs to be clarified, let me know. I think I am going to order an SR build DVD soon and go from there. I'm just looking for opinions on what would be best in my situation.

You will have to use a stand alone for the sr20de with a turbo. Man this looks to be more trouble than it is worth a stock sr20det will handle up to 400whp reliably not sure about a de and what its breaking point is.
