Sorry posted this in wrong forum guess thats why 22 views and no suggestions. Sorry guys im visual impaired i don't see well at times. Hope y'all can give me suggestions I'm going crazy over here.

1st problem. Im trying to connect blue led foot well light to match the doors, map lights, dome lights, trunk, radio and the blue led strips i installed on the center console and dash. I want to tap in the door open lights so they come on only with door open. Where is the easiest location to tap in the door open light. What color are they in that location. When i pop out the door light the wires look red and white and red and green. Im sorry i cant see very well.help would be greatly appreciated.

2nd problem. I now hear a pinging noise when i first accelerate. Thought i got bad gas so i ran a few bottles of fuel cleaner through. No change. Then ran a bottle of sea foam through a full take of gas. Nothing changed. Have no check engine light on ran code scanner showed no codes. What could this be and how should i try to fix. Thanks guys this forum rocks. God bless!

For the pinging noise, does the noise come from the engine compartment when the hood up and being revved up in Park or Neutral? Does it sound like a high-pitched metal tapping noise?

Thanks man for your response. Well i took a guess and hit the nail on the head, lol. Cleaned entire air filter system, maf sensor, while at it i cleaned every wire harness contact connectors . Ping is gone. Was maf sensor. Im no mechanic but i lucked out on this one. Still would love info on easiest way to tap into dome or door light wires to install footwell led lights that come on only when door is opened. Anbody???? :wtf2:

Oh yea couple of interesting things i discovered. My auto headlights will no longer turn off. Cant use them anymore. Also no light on when ashtray or glove box are opened. I got this car from my brother he took it to some dumb *** who shorted it out installing a sub box and amp to factory system. I worked my magic getting a touch screen hooked up and working. But thats when auto lights stopped. I used a pac aoem nis2 to install radio and had to do some serious mods to make it work. I can live without auto lights, ashtray or glove box lights. Don't know if the ashtray or glove box light ever worked. But I've installed a dd touchscreen dvd with gps, usb,sd , backup cam. A 9 inch tv in back that plays :dblthumb: :dblthumb: movies from usb 500 GB hard drive . I can see that movie on my touch screen by selecting aux.hard wired dash cam and Garmin nuvi. Installed one cam that shows on touch screen only in reverse. Mounted a 4 inch monitor on windshield with a toggle switch and video selector switch. Connected to the toggle switch is a camera mounted on back of car also. It runs to video selector box also. I can flip the toggle and video selector switch and see behind me with the cam at all time. I can also turn the toggle off switch the video selector and receive video from either the back tv or in dash touchscreen. Then i installed all blue leds in dome, mam, trunk, and door lights. Hard wired blue led strip lighting on dash, middle console and shift console. My car did not come with heated seats but had the spots for the seat switches on center console. So i got to Oem seat switches that go in that car off eBay. They turn on and off the led strips. And they belong in the car no mod needed. See guys I'm no dummy, lol but i would really like your help finding the easiest access to either the dome or door lights to install my blue leds for the footwells.

Here's a link to the Electrical section of the FSM. It will have wiring diagrams and harness layouts for anything you should need. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/I35/2004_I35/el.pdf
