I have 10mm offset and am currently using 17 inch rims with a 30 offset and they sit in too much i want 18's but need to know if fitted right what tire size i could use and what would be a close enough offset considering noone hardly makes a 10mm.

Hmmmm.

My advice would be to go to http://www.az240sx.org and talk to a buddy of mine, AZ Z-BUM. He's tried TONS of different rim fitments on his old-school Zcar, and is currently running a set of 350Z rims...

Your problem is quite common among Z owners. Very few companies carry a wheel that will fit. I've seen

RacingHart (Dazz Motorsport),CEC,Fikse,Volk(Rays)

All high end outfits. All four companies can build you custom offset wheels(if you hear different, please let me know, as I have ordered/run specs on custom offsets from all), and if I remember correctly, they all carry a wheel 17",18",19" in Medium offset. If you were to special order a custom-offset wheel, it will cost roughly the same as what a mass-production cast/forged/rolled wheel from the above three would cost. Not a *huge* price difference, finding an outfit that can order the right ones and mount/balance/install properly is the real trick. No matter what path you take, it's going to be expensive.

What tire size front/rear are you using now? By using the simple plus-sizing formula, one can easily match up an aftermarket tire O.D. to the factory tire diameter. From there, after we have decided on wheel offset and width, we could then worry about proper fitment/rubbing issues from suspension travel and steering geometry(lock-to-lock fender clearance). Let me know!

It's been a while since I've run the numbers on a Z... so exciting!!
