I've searched old threads, and google, etc, but have yet to find the answer to my problem. I've got a 92 240 SE, and have no HUD, no digital speedo, and no instrument cluster lights. The lights for the radio, heater, automatic shifter etc all work fine, and dim/brighten with the dimmer control. I've pulled the TCU and there are no burnt traces. Tail lights, parking lights etc all work properly. All fuses are good. Ideas? Any way to test the TCU to see if thats bad before I drop a bunch of money on the HUD? Any input wold be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!!-Brad'92 240SX SE currently in the shop getting an SR20 dropped in.

is you ecm setting a speed sensor code? pull the cluster out and check for power at the green wire, blue wire, and red with black wire all in same connector. they should all have power.

Hi Chris- Thanks for the help! =)

No, only code the ECU was throwing was a coolant sensor code. All power wires show 12 volts, and all grounds have continuity to the battry ground. IS there some way to test the TCU to see if thats the culprit? I.E. checking resistances between pins on it or something? Thanks again!!

you can try a voltage drop test but it is a pain in the butt. continuity wont tell you much as it only takes one strand to have continuity. now if the circuit is powered and you test voltage drop across it, that will tell you something.
