To the point: Starting the truck turns over and idles.... I can rev the engine no problems or hesitation at idle only!..... As soon as I put it in to gear and try to take off it will backfire in the tbi (5 speed) when I give it gas when at a low rpm it will pop (backfire) in the tbi. Cant drive it too much hesitation, but listening to the exhaust sounds amost at times its sucking air in and out. (sputtering) Please help
Update trying to eliminate things
1. New Spark Plugs Correct Gap
2. Newer Spark Plug Wires
3. Distributor Working Great Spark
4. Tested Coils Working Both
5. Checked timing chain fine
6. Ignition Timing Fine ( I adjust it when I turned it all the way to the right Engines Rpms dropped try to press gas horrible backfiring.... I turned it to the left to the middle idles at what seems to be normal it will only backfire under load and cant get over 10 miles an hour cant drive it....
This being said I purchased the vehicle owner said he changed the fuel pump and the gas gauge not working
There is also a after market clear fuel filter that has been place on the truck
I purchased a used TBI good working condition was to the V6 Pathfinder I transferred FPR, Injector, Sensors Etc I took all mine off of the original TBI... The proble I had before I rebuilt the orginal TBI was it would foul the plugs with way to much gas that it would not even turn over....Upon turn down I noticed the exhaust manifold line to the egr wasn't connected which has been connected upon rebuilding. Now this was before this post it will start and run fine just cant drive it Im getting closer and closer but where do I go now. I have a Haynes manuel but vacuum diagram isn't easy to read
