well first of all, i would plug the sensor back in. The cam position sensor is a round plate looking thing held on by three bots in front of the timing belt cover. If you are looking at it from the front of the engine bay it is on your right side. Who ever you bought it from may have been playing with the timing trying to get it right and really screwed up. I have had the symptom you describe when other cars of mine have had the timing extremely off. Some people think that they can adjust the timing without a light and will attempt this causing big problems.

i have checked the belt and all the timing dots they all line up the sensor i am trying to plug in is behind the timing belt . also if anyone near the twin cities that has 6 stock injectors that would be great if i could buy them off you or trade. my car is a non turbo and was flooding out really bad do to high of cc injectors the last owner had no idea what he was doing and put different 3 different cc injectors in the car none of the injectors were obviousley tuned to the ecu

I have the same problem, I went through 3 ECUs and sparkplugs and vacuum testing and a bunch of other chit trying to figure it out. It's got to be the injectors. I found this on z1, hope it helps.
