I need help with wiring for the following gauges.

1) AEM Wideband Air/Fuel Gauge 8.5 to 18:1AFR with Black Analog Face AEM Part# 30-5130B
2) AEM Oil Pressure Gauge 0-100PSI w/Black Analog Face AEM Part# 30-5133B
3) Oil Temperature Gauge 40-148C w/Black Analog Face AEM Part# 30-5140MB

Fuse Holder:

5A fuse:

According the AEM wiring diagram, I need to wire the gauges to 12V constant with 5A fuse, switched 12V power with 5A fuse, and instrument lights.

Are those the 5A fuse and fuse holder that I need?

I have a S13 hatchback. I am new to wiring gauges. What is the best way to do this? I searched and some people said use radio or cigarette wiring. I am looking for details for the wiring locations for 12V constant, switched 12V power, and instrument lights.

Thanks.

you can find all you wires you need in your radio harness, or under the dash in the harness under there. get out your test light and start testing wires. you can run an inline 5 amp fuse in any wire you find. you should also be able to find constant and switched in the fuse panel on the driver side.

So instrument lights wire can be found in radio harness too?

Could you tell where is the best way to get instrument lights? I don't think steering column and cluster is easy to access. Maybe I should tab the wire near the ECU?

im not sure on the s13 but i would think you could get it from the dimmer switch. and there is one on the radio harness but i dont know if its just a +/- signal or if it actually sends a variable voltage.

Do you install a 30A fuse for main 12VDC wire and a 5A fuse for each of the branch wires?

i think you should post this in the audio and security section. those guys are really smart and helpful. i dont want to give you wrong info. i do know one thing though. if you use your radio harness that is already fused.

Where are you mounting the gauges? If your going to the a pillar, you can grab power from the cluster itself. If your doing it on the dash, you can grab power at the radio. Any place that you get power from other than the ignition harness will already be fused prior to where you are connecting, so you don't have to worry about fuses.
