I am planning on getting some chrome 18's for my 1996 240sx SE but I am not sure what size I need to get. I have searched the forums but couldnt find what I needed for my decision. I know it is going to make my car slower but I am not concerned with performance.

I am looking at some Enkei LM1's but I am not sure about tire size and offset. I will either keep the stock suspension or possibly be lowering it with some new springs if possible. Here are the available wheel sizes and offsets:18 X 7.5 with 45 offset 18 X 8 with 35 offset18 X 8 with 40 offset18 X 9 with 38 offset

I would like to put 225/40R18 tires on there if possible, so would this work or would I have to get 215's?

Sorry for so many questions but I am confused and I dont want to buy the wrong thing. I just want to put the wheel/tire combo on there that will look best and not be sticking way out or sunken in. Thanks for your help. NR

18X8 ET 40 is a standard fitment with a 215/40-18. I'm thinking a 225/40-18 would work as well with the standard suspension. That was the Silva S14 set up .

Will it be worse than it is with the stock wheels or not as bad since the wheel would be wider?

Or could there be any way to correct it with spacers or somthing.

Maybe it would be a better idea to look for a wheel with a different offset, I dont know I am confused.

It'll stick out a little bit less than an inch more than stock, which still looks sunken in... you could solve the problem with spacers, but you should rather look into getting more appropriate wheels.

What would be the best wheel size and offset? It seems as though most of the wheels I look at have similar offsets. Would I have to custom order some wheels or somthin?

I haven't seen too many(if any) bling rims with the 4-lug bolt pattern and low offset. If you really love those wheels, I think your only option would be getting 15mm spacers, and longer studs.
